It’s officially fall, and you know what that means – pumpkins, cider, Halloween, Costco pumpkin pie – we love it all!
Pumpkin patches are one of our favorite ways to truly embrace the season (and take some amazing family photos). Thankfully, we have a TON of options to choose from around here. We picked a couple of our favorites – let us know where you go this year!
Spooner Farms – Puyallup, WA

The Spooner Farms family is 6th generation farmers fortunate to have been farming in the Puyallup Valley since 1882! During October most of the farm is available for your enjoyment as we celebrate fall the way we love – with fun for the whole family, including our pumpkin patch, corn maze, and more.

Beginning in 2020, we opened the farm for an exciting new annual fall experience: The Patch at Knutson Farms! We will celebrate each fall season with your entire family by picking pumpkins, meeting the farm animals, and enjoying the endless photo ops on a real, working farm. Kids especially love the hay ride, farm games, and finding their way through the corn and hay mazes. Local food vendors are on site with great food and hot beverages to keep you comfy and energized.
This year, we’ve added a few new features: Kettle Corn, Tricycle Course, and a permanent Coffee Cart.

Tickets are $12/pp Monday through Thursday, and $15/pp Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Kids 2yrs and under are free. Please note that the Cow Train and Hay Ride will only be open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Double R Farms – Puyallup, WA

We are a third generation family run farm, located between Tacoma and Puyallup just off River Road. In our 80 year old barn you will find decorative gourds, cornstalks, mini pumpkins, and edible squash. We also have live animals for the kids to see. Over the years we have served our community by providing exceptional produce and customer service.
During the month of October our farm features a 5 acre corn maze and the largest selection of pumpkins in the valley. Come try your hand at one of three pumpkin slingshots. We even have one just for kids.

Carpinito Brothers Pumpkin Patch

Carpinito Brothers U-Pick Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze is the perfect place for a fun and festive fall outing! We take pride in our high-quality and unique selection of pumpkins, ranging from decorative mini jack pumpkins to unusually shaped squashes to jumbo field pumpkins (and everything in between). We provide wheelbarrows to aid in your pumpkin search as these gourds can get quite heavy! With 20+ acres of farmland and our virtually endless crop, there’s sure to be the perfect pumpkin for every jack o’ lantern, pumpkin pie and center piece in the Puget Sound area.

Maris Farms

There’s oodles of fun to be had at Maris Farms! Visit during the weekend to take advantage of the great food, extra activities and special vendors! Prefer a slower-paced visit without the crowds? Although some food vendors and activities are not available, weekday visits offer a quieter experience at a lower cost. Major attractions include a 5-acre Corn Maze and a 5-acre Pumpkin Patch.

Thomasson Family Farm

Our fall festival will be open Oct. 1st through the 30th, 9:30 to 5:30. Come and enjoy our 6 acre you-pick pumpkin patch! We are located in rural Enumclaw, making a beautiful backdrop for lots of pictures! Come get lost in our corn maze, it is 6 acres of fun. Wanting to miss the crowds and make social distancing easier, come and join us for a slower pace during the week. This year will look a little different with our COVID-19 consideration, but here at Thomasson Family Farm, we are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all our guests.
(Pets are not allowed on the farm except in the pumpkin patch, on leash.)

Bob’s Corn and Pumpkin Farm

Bob plants over 60 varieties of pumpkins, spread over 40 acres total—giant orange pumpkins, tall skinny pumpkins, perfect round pumpkins, and even white, ghostly pumpkins. We’ve got a great selection of those fun, gnarly pumpkins with the funny bumps that look like Witch’s Warts! You’ll find the tiny, mini pumpkins, right on up to pumpkins that weigh 200 lbs, and even gourmet eating pumpkins. Enjoy our free hayride into the the pumpkin field!
Here at Bob’s Corn we are committed to our customers safety. We are implementing and following all CDC and health department guideline for social distancing. Masks will be required to join us here at the farm unless you can safely maintain a social distance of more than 6 feet from others not in your party. We ask kindly that you come willing to comply and remind you to continue to be conscientious of the people around you. Additionally, all ticket sales are online this year due to COVID. If tickets are still available at the door they can be purchased but are charged with a $3 convinience fee.

Don’t Forget:
- Rain boots for the muddy terrain! (Bring extra shoes and a plastic bag to put your shoes in afterwards.)
- Your mask
- Cash – some places are cash-only, some accept card, and some have an ATM onsite.
- Note that some locations require admission tickets to be purchased online in advance.
- Wet wipes or hand sanitizer – a day of picking pumpkins, farm animals, corn kernel pits, (and usually a Porta Potty) – you’ll thank us!
- Camera – whether it’s your DSLR or your phone, it’s the perfect time to snap some gorgeous photos of fall in the PNW
