December 1: Winterfest at Peninsula High School
Kick off the season with Winterfest! Enjoy a variety of vendors offering handcrafted gifts, perfect for holiday shopping while supporting local artisans.
December 7: Gig Harbor Tree Lighting Ceremony
Join the community at the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony to officially welcome the holiday season. The evening includes live entertainment, festive activities, and the lighting of the town’s Christmas tree—a heartwarming tradition for all.
December 7–28: Holiday Village at Donkey Creek Park
Capture the holiday spirit with six themed photo displays at the Holiday Village. Open during park hours, this free event is perfect for snapping a holiday card-worthy shot. Don’t miss this collaboration between Visit Gig Harbor and the Gig Harbor Waterfront Alliance.
December 8: Tidefest Fine Arts and Crafts Festival
From 10 AM to 5 PM, browse handcrafted items and unique gifts at this annual event at Gig Harbor High School. All proceeds support school programs, making it a festive way to give back.
December 14: Lighted Boat Parade
Watch the harbor sparkle as boats decked out in twinkling lights glide across the water. This dazzling parade captures the true essence of a waterfront holiday celebration.
December 14 & 15, December 21 & 22: Free Santa Photos
Head to Donkey Creek Park between 12 PM and 2:30 PM for free photos with Santa! Thanks to BBQ2U, The Old Cannery Furniture Warehouse, and B’s Bagels, enjoy complimentary cocoa, cider, and treats. Rain or shine, bring your camera (and pets!) to capture the moment.
December 21: Lighted Car Parade
Save your seat along Harborview Drive for the 5th Annual Lighted Car Parade! Starting at 5 PM, this festive procession illuminates the waterfront with holiday cheer.
